Commanders, recent occurrences in the Elite Dangerous universe have set in motion a series of events in the upcoming months that will create a turning point for human civilization in the Milky Way.

Senator Kahina Tijani Loren, aka Salomé, died on April 29th 3303 and in her recently found Requiem, she shared knowledge on covert actions by the Empire, Federation and the Alliance whose aims are to orchestrate conflict in order to further their own agenda as well as a possible planned exodus to earth-like worlds outside of human inhabited space. We are also now aware of increased alien activity in the Pleiades nebula, including hyperdictions, attacks on Federation vessels, and sightings, around both the barnacles and strange alien planetary bases.
The First Contact Defence Initiative is therefore calling on Commanders throughout the Milky Way to come to our aid in the light of these impending issues.

The aim of the First Contact Defence Initiative is to promote the following goals:

Research – Given the limited knowledge of both unknown alien forces (likely the group known as ‘the Thargoids’) and the true intentions of the major factions, the First Contact Defence Initiative will work to attempt to uncover potential information which can help the Elite Dangerous community.

Defence – The First Contact Defence Initiative will work to provide sufficient defences against potential future encounters with an unknown/alien force in both the bubble (based around our home system, Savantzil) and the Colonia region. In the event that this occurs, the First Contact Defence Initiative will follow the ‘First Contact’ Protocol, which states that until this force acts in a hostile manner, we must approach them in a peaceful manner.

Unity – The First Contact Defence Initiative will work to promote Unity between player groups and independent commanders alike to stand together against the manipulation of the major factions, as well as in regards to an encounter with an unknown or alien force. We are therefore requesting support from as many player groups as possible. (In particular, the Children of Raxxla, Canonn Research and the Fuel Rats).

The First Contact Defence Initiative looks to honour the memory of Senator Kahina Tijani Loren, and protect all of inhabited space and the best way we feel that can be done is to heed and combat the threat that she perished to warn us of.
